Tile Floor Cleaning Tips
Some people may know us as the carpet cleaning experts, but we also clean other types of floors as well. Cleaning tile seems straightforward, but most home cleaning methods are superficial at best. Unless you’re regularly scrubbing on hands and knees, mopping just pushes dirt around. It can even further embed dirt in porous surfaces like grout. So, how can you be sure your tile is really clean? Here are some of our best tile floor cleaning tips.
Professional Cleaning With Powerful Ingredients
CitruSolution uses a powerful citrus based solution that cuts through dirt and lifts stains. While it’s completely non-toxic to humans and pets, the natural citrus (D-limonene) is extremely effective at tackling dirt, mold, and mildew.
Most people simply mop their tile floors, which will never eliminate dirt from grout lines or deep tile grooves. We use a complete 4 step system:
- Application – We apply our non toxic cleaning solution to begin lifting dirt
- Power Scrub – Using a high powered, oscillating scrubbing machine, we work the cleaning solution into the floor and grout. For places that the machine can’t go (like behind toilets) we power scrub by hand!
- Rinse and Extract – Our water extractor picks up the cleaning solution and the dirt and rinses the floor.
- Dry – We finish by drying the floor, so you’re not left with a wet room for hours.
Not all tile is the same, and that’s why we use special products for more delicate stone tile. Certain types of stone are easily etched or discolored – even by regular household cleaners! You can damage your tile if you’re not careful by using the incorrect product. If you’re in doubt, call us to come take a look. We’ll be able to give you an estimate on the spot and ensure your tile floor cleaning service is safe for your specific tile.
